Widows Complex

`House of Ayesha (R.A.)`

Named in memory of Hazrat Ayesha (R.A.) the beloved wife of our Holy Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.), `House of Ayesha (R.A.)` is a housing complex under construction, which once completed will consist of approx. 100 houses for widows and their families. This complex is situated at Dayamir village in the Sylhet District of Bangladesh.

Construction work commenced in 2005 and due to unavoidable circumstances relating to the political situation in Bangladesh, construction work is still in progress, it is anticipated that 50 of the houses should be ready to hand over by this Ramadhan I.A.

The complex will also house Vocational Training Centres so that the widows and their families can learn the necessary skills for income generating projects. The houses will also be surrounded by small ponds for fish cultivation and small farms for poultry.

The project is estimated at £85,000, which was raised by the Muslims of Preston during the year 2005.
