Hafiz Sabri Institute
4 students completed their courses this year at our
residential Madrasah situated at Belesh which has 10
students, they are now serving as Imams/ Teachers in
their localities, another 40 students enrolled for short
periods during the year, annual budget £12,000 |
Madrasah Abdullah Ibn Abbas (R.A.)
Another residential Madrasah comprising of 15
students situated at Qerret, Kavaja was
supervised by the M.W.I. for the year 2007, annual budget of £18,000 was shared by UWT
and a family from Dewsbury |
Medical & Welfare
160 wheelchairs & other medical items
distributed to Pogradec hospital & to the disabled
on behalf of Human Appeal International (HAI),
91 bicycles were also distributed to the needy |

Imaams/ Teachers Sponsorship
5 Imaams were sponsored throughout the year
at a total cost of £7,500, the Imaams performed
Imaamat duties in their localities and also
organised classes for children |
Qurbaani
5250 people benefited from the distribution of
210 Qurbaanis at Leskovik, Korce, Pogradec,
Elbasan, Tirana & Kavaja at a cost of £11,550,
HAI, Muslim Aid & Ummah Welfare Trust (UWT)
also contributed towards this years project |
Madrasah Dar-e-Arqam
We started a non-residential Madrasah in the
capital Tirana, courses run through out the week
which cater for 200 adults & children, specific
courses for 75 orphans are organised on
weekends, annual budget £7,500 which includes
the salaries of 2 teachers |

House Renovation Programme
11 houses belonging to needy families renovated
at a total cost £7,105 donated by a Yorkshire family |
Orphans & Widows Sponsorship
65 orphans & their families being sponsored with
£12:50 monthly at various villages, annual budget
£9,750, from these 50 families sponsored by UWT |
Literature Packs
5,000 copies of Talimul Islam & 3,000 copies of
Ahsanul Qawaid distributed at a cost of £1,475 |

Islamic Awareness Projects
17 Islamic Classes were in operation this
year, 400 boys & girls ranging from 7 years
to 13 years benefited from the courses in
many villages, annual budget £14,400 |
Iftaar
Hot meals & Iftaar Packs distributed to
approx. 600 families at Kotodesh, Prenjas,
Sovijan, Katyal, Boriya, Belesh & Laknas
at a cost of £5,000 donated by UWT |
